Birmingham's
Premier Padel Club
Edgbaston Priory Club has been at the forefront of racquet sport in Birmingham for 150 years. When padel arrived in the UK as the fastest growing sport in the world, we didn’t hesitate to bring it here, building three full-size outdoor courts in the grounds of one of Britain’s most celebrated sporting venues.
Our padel courts are matched with LTA-accredited coaching, a league and competition programme, and a community of 3,000+ members. This isn’t a padel pop-up or a multi-sport facility that happened to add a court. This is a serious, permanent home for padel in Birmingham, built to the standards we have always set.
We’re a very welcoming club for all abilities and ages, so come check out our facilities at a time that suits you and see if you like what you see; we’re confident you will!

New to Padel?
Why Padel Works for Everyone
New to Padel?

Here’s What You Need to Know
Padel is a doubles racquet sport played on an enclosed court approximately one-third the size of a tennis court.
The walls are part of the game; balls can be played off the glass sides, which creates longer rallies, more tactical play, and far fewer unforced errors than tennis.
The result is a sport that is genuinely easier to pick up, but deep enough to keep improving in for years. It is currently the fastest-growing sport in the world, with over 25 million players across 90 countries.
In Birmingham, the sport has grown dramatically since 2022, and Edgbaston Priory is at the centre of that growth.
Why Padel
Works for Everyone
- Easy to learn, most beginners are rallying confidently within their first session
- Social by nature, always played in doubles, so every game is a social event
- Full-body workout, improves cardiovascular fitness, coordination, and reflexes
- Suitable for all ages and abilities, played competitively and socially at the same club
- No equipment needed to start, padel rackets and balls available for free

Training that gets results
I joined the Club to explore squash, swimming and gym sessions to get fitter. Israar helped me build confidence with free weights, always working at my pace. In 4 months, we’ve achieved amazing results and I’ve lost 6kg.

Simply exceptional
My parents met in the Priory bar in 1958 and our family has been members since 1875, now into the sixth generation. We benefit from the foresight of those who shaped the club over 150 years, making it an oasis in Edgbaston. No other city in Britain matches what we have here.
