Job Description
We are entering an exciting new chapter with the launch of our newly refurbished Bar & Bistro, a major investment in the Club’s hospitality offering, designed to elevate the member and guest experience even further. As part of this exciting development, we are seeking an enthusiastic, experienced and motivated Food & Beverage Supervisor to join our Food & Beverage team.
Working as part of the Food & Beverage supervisory team, the successful candidate will support the day-to-day operation of the Club’s Bar, Bistro and hospitality areas. They will lead by example, supervising shifts, supporting and developing the team, and ensuring members and guests enjoy an exceptional and memorable hospitality experience.
The role includes responsibility for opening and closing the Bar and Bistro on allocated shifts, ensuring all operational procedures are completed safely and efficiently while maintaining the Club’s high standards. The successful candidate will also support the delivery of Club events, private functions and hospitality services throughout the year, helping to create outstanding experiences for members and guests.
This is a full-time position of 40 hours per week (inclusive of breaks), based on a flexible rota. Shifts are scheduled between 7:30am and 11:30pm, including evenings, weekends and public holidays, in line with the operational needs of the Club.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise Food & Beverage shifts, ensuring the highest standards of service are maintained
- Deliver exceptional customer service to members, guests and visitors
- Open and close the Bar and Bistro in accordance with Club procedures
- Support the delivery of Club events, private functions and hospitality services
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness, presentation and food safety
- Support the Food & Beverage Management Team with stock control and daily operational duties
- Coach, support and motivate Food & Beverage team members
- Work collaboratively with fellow supervisors and the wider Club team to ensure smooth daily operations
Skills & Experience
- Previous supervisory experience within the hospitality industry
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Strong leadership and organisational abilities
- The ability to remain calm and professional in a busy environment
- A proactive, flexible and hands-on approach to work
- A passion for delivering outstanding hospitality
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, bank holidays and major Club events

What makes our work unique is the breadth of our responsibility. We are not only turf specialists but also the caretakers of the club’s horticultural and landscaped areas. This includes ornamental and shrub beds, wildlife zones, amenity lawns, tree care, and all the seasonal planting we grow ourselves in the on‑site polytunnel. Alongside this, we undertake much of our own machinery maintenance and ensure the site remains safe and accessible throughout the winter through gritting, snow clearance, and general operational support.
