When life feels overwhelming or my mind gets too loud, the best thing for me is fresh air and being outside – dog walks, cycling, running, gardening, wild swimming. Just stepping away from the noise for a while.
We can be so hard on ourselves, constantly wondering if we’re where we “should” be or if we’re doing enough in life. But mental health isn’t about perfection and there’s no real such thing as “finding yourself” it’s about building yourself. Sometimes taking care of yourself is found in the simple things – fresh air, movement, quiet moments and saying yes to fun or adventure.
Drink water. Get outside. Eat well. Move your body in ways you enjoy!
Be kind to yourself and kind to others – especially strangers. You never know what someone else might be carrying.
Life can be tough, but not tougher than you!
