Wimbledon Finals Event 2023
Our annual Wimbledon Finals Event exceeded all expectations. This annual gathering is a testament to our great love for tennis and showcased the true spirit of camaraderie and sportsmanship that exemplifies our community.
A Day of Tennis and Celebration
We had numerous members and guests join us to participate in the event this year with complete enthusiasm and a friendly competitive spirit. The morning kicked off with several fun doubles matches that really showed off people’s amazing skills and impressive technique. It was a thrilling day filled with electric matches and friendly banter between teams.
Championing the Victors
There were some outstanding performances on the court, particularly our victors Sarah and Richard who’s teamwork and fighting spirit won them the trophy and bragging rights for next year! Congratulations to them for a fantastic win against Maggie and Vlad. It was a hard fought match and a well-deserved victory.
The Finale – A Feast for the Senses
Following an exceptional morning on the courts, members and guests were treated to a delicious BBQ to enjoy while sitting back and watching a nail-biter of a match with the men’s finals at Wimbledon on the big screen in the events lawn. The tension felt never-ending as we all stayed rooted to the spot with anticipation for the winner. It was a fabulous afternoon for our members and guests to end an incredible day.
Supporting a Worthy Cause
In the true spirit of giving back, the Wimbledon Finals Event featured a fun raffle filled with fabulous prizes. The generosity of our members shone through as they enthusiastically participated, raising funds in support of the Birmingham Hospice. Each ticket purchased represented not only a chance to win an amazing prize, but also a meaningful contribution.

The Wimbledon Finals Event was a day filled with laughter, friendship, and the creation of cherished memories. The event united our community in a shared love for tennis, charity and fun on and off the court.
