On behalf of members and staff at Edgbaston Priory Club, we send our heartfelt sympathies to The Royal Family on the passing of Her Majesty The Queen.
The Queen has been a constant in our lives for so many years and her long and dedicated service to our nation is an inspiration to us all.
Following the announcement that the state funeral will take place on Monday 19th September and in line with guidance issued on the period of mourning, the Board has agreed the following arrangements for the next seven days:
- Our flag will fly at half-mast
- Club events will go ahead, however, the tone of any events will be respectful to the period of mourning
- On the day of the Queen’s state funeral, Monday 19th September, the club will be closed for the day.
This will allow us all to respect and mark this unique moment in the nation’s history in our own personal and private way.
