This month, we’ll be joined by the team from Handelsbanken who will be giving you their expert advice and insight into a range of economic topics.

Daniel Mahoney, Economist

Daniel joined Handelsbanken as UK Economist in January 2022 where he acts as Deputy for the Chief Economist.

He works with economists in Handelsbanken’s home markets, providing economic insights to media outlets and Handelsbanken UK’s HQ as well as the Bank’s branch and client network across the UK. Prior to joining Handelsbanken UK, Daniel worked for a number of politicians – including Amber Rudd and Nigel Lawson – and was Head of Economic Research at a Westminster-based think tank, where he acted as the public spokesman for the organisation.

He has also represented major employers in the UK, previously being a Programme Director for Economy and Infrastructure at the Business Group BusinessLDN. Throughout his career, Daniel has published research and spoken to various media outlets on a wide range of economic policy areas.

Cameron Willard, Capital Markets Expert

Cameron joined Handelsbanken in the summer of 2017 and has been in the Capital Markets team since January 2019, where he covers Foreign Exchange and Fixed Income products. Cameron regularly provides market insights at Handelsbanken events across the country, as well as via frequent written commentaries, focusing on UK interest rates and the global currency market.
