Meet Mackenzie Griffith, also known as Mac.

They have been a member of Edgbaston Priory Club since they were six years old. They’ve grown up in the club and from ten years old, started training with personal trainer, Sam Taylor, who helped them achieve their goals.

Last winter, Mac embarked on an incredible journey that took them to Canada, teaming up with CADS Alberta Canadian Para Snowsport Training Centre to chase their dreams in Para ski racing. They dedicated countless hours in the gym and on the slopes of Calgary, training tirelessly from September 2022 to June this year.

Mac’s unwavering commitment to the sport has resulted in well-deserved success! In March, they proudly represented Great Britain in the Canadian and US nationals held in Kimberley. Their performance earned them one silver and three bronze medals, setting the stage for an incredibly promising career in Para ski racing.

But this is just the beginning of their story. This season, from October to April 2024, they’ll be returning to Calgary with CADS to compete in even more races and they’re hoping for World Cup starts across all disciplines.

We’re so proud of their success so far and we’re rallying behind them as they work toward their ultimate goal; to compete on the grand stage of the 2026 Winter Paralympic Games in Italy.
