We’ve had a very busy month in squash and racketball! With socials, awards night and the run up to the British Open – we’ve had a fantastic May!
First up, we hosted our Timed Team Event. This was a new event for our squash and racketball members. Players played for a 15 minute period, which meant we were able to fit in plenty of matches! We had great fun, and it was amazing to see so much squash and racketball being played.
We were also involved with the club’s Family Fun Day! This day was extremely busy with all our facilities opening their doors for mini taster sessions for children and their parents to get involved in. We had staff and a couple of members set up an outdoor squash activity. We had a great time showcasing the sport in the sun! Thank you to those that helped throughout the day.
May also included our Squash & Racketball Annual Dinner and Dance. Starting with a video showcasing the highlights of the year, a presentation with awards and then lots of dancing! Congratulations to all those that won an award, they were all very well deserved.
Our junior members have also been smashing it this month! They collected even more silverware at the Macclesfield and Hampshire Silver events. We saw some amazing performances from our juniors – keep up the good work!
