What a line up we have for the start of our main draw. We have five Grand Slam Champions in action including our top seed and defending champion – Jelena Ostapenko.

Opening the day we have Sloane Stephens, who has had a career high of World No 3 after she won the US Open. She is now back in form and likes a heavy early ball. Sloane has had a lot of success on the doubles court – so I’m sure we will use her attacking game on the grass.

Jelena is back! Great to have Jelena back to our tournament. After winning here last year she continued her good form and is now 13 in the world. Jelena loves the grass courts and her game is very well suited to the courts. We all know she can hit a winner from anywhere in the court and also seems to love three set matches! She is great fun to watch!

Our third match is Cirstea v Zhu. Cirstea is our third seed and also part of history. She opened the Ann Jones Centre court and also played in our 40th anniversary event. She has made semi finals in the past. She has an attacking game style but also defends very well.

Last match on Centre Court tomorrow is Leylah Fernandez v Sara Soribes Tormo. Leylah has played the event before, but also was part of the iconic match in the US Open Final against Emma Raducanu. Leylah was recently part of the winning BJK team for Canada and currently has a world ranking of 33.

On court 1 and 2 we have lots of familiar faces, including Elise Mertens; current world doubles number 1, playing with Su-Wei Hsieh; current Wimbledon Champion and past winner here. We also have former French Open Singles Champion and winner of 10 doubles Grand Slam: Barbora Krejcikova.

We are so lucky to have this player level on our courts. There are great matches around the grounds. Lets get out there and support the players!
