Last night’s Ashaway squash exhibition match and coaching clinic were a smashing success!

Members gathered for an unforgettable evening of learning, playing and socialising.

The squash coaching clinic was a fantastic opportunity for players of all levels to fine-tune their techniques and gain insights from two amazing squash professionals – Emily Whitlock and our very own Alicia Mead. The two pros led a fun and engaging session leaving all members who attended inspired and motivated. Throughout the clinic, members were guided through drills, strategies, and techniques to improve their performance on the court. Emily and Alicia emphasised the significance of footwork, racket control, and mental focus, demonstrating how these elements contribute to a flawless game.

The coaching clinic was followed by an extraordinary match between Emily and Alicia. Both showed off their incredible skills, swift movements, and strategic plays, keeping the audience on the edge of their seats with every rally. The friendly rivalry between the two players made for an intense yet entertaining match, with both athletes pushing their limits for a great performance. Emily and Alicia’s passion for squash was obvious in every swing of the racket, inspiring everyone present to embrace their own love for the sport and strive for greatness.

We extend our huge thank you to Alicia Mead and Emily Whitlock for gracing our event with their talent, knowledge and enthusiasm.
