Last weekend, our Edgbaston Priory Squash and Racketball members took part in a challenge to make a difference. They committed to spending 24-hours playing a non-stop squash and racketball relay to raise money for BBC Children in Need.
The support from club members, friends and family was incredible and resulted in a fundraising total that exceeded both the goal, and all expectations- over £2000 was raised for BBC Children in Need.
A special shout-out goes to the team whose hard work made this event possible. Thank you Sheldon, Mike, Abbey and Emily for their roles in co-ordinating the event and Tina for spearheading the whole thing.
From the first serve, to the final hit, the 24-hour relay was a whirlwind of energy, dedication and sportsmanship. The event was a success due to our members making a collective effort to create positive change, demonstrating the true community spirit of the club. Congratulations to every member who got on court and thank you to everyone who showed their support by donating and cheering on the players.
