Edgbaston Priory is proud to celebrate the achievement of our professional associate, Dan Evans, who has secured the biggest title of his career at the Mubadala Citi DC Open.

The win propelled him straight to world no.21 and Evo has cemented his place in history as he became the first Brit to reach the final since Andy Murray in 2006 and the first to win the Citi Open since Tim Henman in 2003.

This win was the culmination of a week of exceptional victories, including over world No. 10 Frances Tiafoe, fifth seed Grigor Dimitrov and twelfth seed Tallon Griekspoor.

As Evans’ professional journey unfolds, Edgbaston Priory takes immense pride in being even just a small a part of his success story. We applaud his persistence and the natural skill that has brought him to his latest achievement.

As he looks ahead to the National Bank Open in Toronto, Dan Evans is on track to dominate again. We’ll be supporting him from home and are looking forward to having him back practicing on our courts again.
